The fact that women are multi-tasking is nothing new, but it should be pointed out again and again. The reconciliation of family, job and, in Susanne's case, education is remarkable. She is also the co-author of a book. Read more about her - I wish you a wonderful day.

Who is Susanne Fries-Palm?
I am German and relocated to Switzerland in 2014. We always wanted to live in Switzerland as we like the beautiful country and after many years in the IT/TK business we decided to make our dream become true… Since 2017 we live in the beautiful canton of Solothurn.

I have many years’ experience e.g. in Customer Service & Technical Service, Administration and Internal Audit. In addition Project Management is an interesting topic for me and I am the co-author of the „Leitfaden zur Prüfung von Projekten“, a standard framework for auditing projects.

Who or what shaped you the most for your professional career?
Definitely my parents. They supported me and helped to grow in a sense of creating self-confidence and establishing my „you can“ attitude. I studied part time twice, Business Economies in Cologne (D) and Strategic Marketing Leadership in Henley (UK). These studies surely had a major impact on my development as I had to organize work, studies and private life at the same time.

During my career I also met some really inspiring people - for example „Jupp“ who is one of my former bosses and who has a really great combination of intelligence and empathy - who helped me to develop into the different positions and roles I had during my career.

Why are you a bwomen member?
I joined bwoman as I was looking for a network where I can meet interesting and inspiring people. I am a bit tired of the big networks where I see the initial idea of networking disappear more and more.

On which topics can other members contact you and where?
I am happy to talk about topics related to my experience, but also leadership, CX, change management and digitalization projects.

In addition, I like topics as arts, fashion, music and cooking - and I am happy to share my view with others.
