Meet Nadja Geiger

Very multifaceted and living in different cultures has had a positive impact on Nadia's life journey. How fortunate that Nadia became aware of our network through a recommendation from a friend. Please keep recommending us, we are growing steadily and as soon as we are allowed to see each other offline again, we will definitely take this opportunity. We are already looking forward to the next events!

Who is Nadia Geiger?
Born in the French speaking part of Switzerland to Swiss and Egyptian parents, I have benefited from a diverse background that has fuelled a passion for travel and multicultural experience. I love to interact with people and am something of a ‘social butterfly’ J. My professional passions are focused within the financial services industry and I enjoy challenging and solutions orientated roles. I am the lucky Mum of two beautiful children.

Who or what shaped you the most for your professional career?
My career path has blessed me with opportunities to meet and learn from many great minds and dynamic and productive personalities. ‘Learning by doing’, and benefiting from the wisdom of those around me, has combined to inform my own way of conducting business and shaped my approach to the challenges of the corporate universe. Experience has taught me that decisions taken with an overarching consideration of “integrity” are invariably the right ones and always defensible.

If there’s a “what” aspect to the equation, I would mention the various locations I’ve worked in over the years. Having been on assignments in multiple international locations with different cultures also shaped my understanding of what it takes to do business internationally and in otherwise diverse environments.

Why are you a bwomen member?
A good friend recently became a member and spoke highly of the network. Having browsed the forum, I begun chatting with Claudia. I wholeheartedly applaud the concept of connecting women from different backgrounds and industries with the “simple” objective to share and exchange ideas and support each other.

On which topics can other members contact you and where?
I am open to many topics both specific and more ‘conceptual/circumstantial’ scenarios. Some instances of where I can perhaps offer support can be around the topics of career changes (and the courage needed to make it happen J), how to go up the corporate ladder as a woman in a large corporate, what pitfalls to avoid and even to simply share experiences: what “didn’t go that well”, by doing so, we can learn from each other and grow together.
