Anna is incredible - she started her career as a private banker, founded her own start-up with made-to-order baked goods during her maternity leave and is now a professional in supply management. She is the one you should talk to if you want a kick in your career or want to reorient yourself. It takes a pinch of courage and once again the will to go outside your comfort zone. Why not at the beginning of the new year? Happy 2021 to all of you!

Who is Anna Johansson?
I am a Swedish wife, mother and Supply Chain professional who moved to beautiful Switzerland 12 years ago. I live with my husband, 2 children and 2 cats in Lachen, Kanton Schwyz. In my free time I enjoy the beautiful nature that this country has to offer and to spend time with family and friends as well as to go on a baking frenzy in our kitchen.

Who or what shaped you the most for your professional career?
I believe my curiosity in new things and experiences helped steer my professional career. I believe that if you are open to the opportunities that come your way and able to step out of your comfort zone, life tends to find a way for you. It is not always the one you planned or thought but it is most certainly a thrilling and exciting one. Hence my motto from Pippi Longstocking: This I have never done so I am sure I will excel....

My professional career has not been straightforward. After leaving university I moved into the banking industry where I worked as a private banker. When we moved to Switzerland, I decided to stay at home with our children for 6-7 years during which time I started a company which supplied baked goods on order. It was an interesting experience to have a start up in a foreign country and to learn everything that is connected to this. When our youngest was about to start school, I decided to go back into the employed work force and was offered the opportunity to start a totally new chapter in my professional career, one in Supply Chain where I am currently spending my professional time. For anyone thinking of making a professional 360 change midlife - I can absolutely recommend it, it is very enriching.

Why are you a bwomen member?
I believe in networking in general and in the strength of a women network in particular. This form of meeting other women is an opportunity and asset. By supporting and encouraging each other the sky is the limit.
